モーターサイクルは、自然というフィールドを遊ぶ乗り物だ。
ライダーは、状況に適したウエアを身に着けることが求められる。過酷な状況も多いライダーにとってそれは当たり前のこと。
しかし、これからの時代に必要なのは、
フィールドを楽しむだけではなく、
フィールドを考えることも大切だ。
GOLDWIN MOTORCYCLEがコアとするオフロードは、
自然というフィールドを舞台としている。
そのフィールドで私たちライダーが、
この先も遊び続けるためには、1人1人が
フィールドに目を向けないといけない。
1人のマナー違反で、みんなの遊び場が無くなる。
そんな現状が実際に多く起こっている
そのことに気付かず、今遊んでいるフィールドは、
永遠に持続すると多くのライダーが考えているだろう。
Motorcycles are vehicles that ride in the field called nature.
Riders are expected to wear appropriate gear for various riding conditions.
Such is common sense for riders, who are often in extreme situations.
But what is going to be essential in the coming age is
not about enjoying the field,
it is also about thinking about the field.
The main off-roading of GOLDWIN MOTORCYCLE
is set in the field called nature.
For us to continue to play in the field,
each of us must keep an eye on the field.
It takes only one person’s violation of etiquette
to ruin the playground for everyone.
Such is the reality of what is happening.
Many riders will be unaware of this and would assume that.
the field they are currently riding will last forever.

今回のシーズンビジュアルでは、自然豊かな長野県を舞台に様々なロケーションで撮影を行った。
長野を撮影の拠点とした理由の1つに、北部にある須坂市は仁礼仙仁山の存在がある。
山は個人が所有をしていることもあれば自治体が管理していることもあり様々だが、
ここは、財団法人 仁礼会が管理をし、植林や間伐など広大な山林の保護を行っている場所だ。
山林は間伐など管理をしないと土砂災害や花粉症といった被害にも繋がるため定期的な作業が必要である。
しかし、それには人員もコストもかかる。
そうした、林業の問題に対して、オフロードバイクイベントを通しサポートする活動を
GOLDWIN MOTORCYCLEで今後行っていく。
今回の撮影ロケ地の1つとして使用した仁礼仙仁山のコースは、
国内トップライダーである石戸谷蓮氏が代表を務めるオフロードバイクイベント「クロスミッション」の
フリーライドが2022年9月に行われることもあり、GOLDWIN MOTORCYCLEとしても協賛を行なっている場所。
間伐した木材を運ぶ林道を使い、オフロードバイクを楽しむ。
こうしたイベントによって生まれる観光効果で地域が活性化し、山林の維持活動にも繋がることを目的とした、
自然環境とライダー両方に嬉しい活動である。「自然で遊ぶために自然を守る」。
仁礼仙仁山は、そんな気持ちを持った現代のオフロードライダーたちによって、
やがてオフロードの聖地となっていく日が来ることもそう遠くはないだろう。
This campaign visual was shot in various locations in Nagano, widely known for its rich nature.
One of the reasons why Nagano was chosen as the location for the shooting heavily lies in the presence of Mt. Nireiseni in Suzaka-shi.
Some forests are owned by individuals, and some are managed by local authorities,
Nonetheless, Mt. Nireiseni is governed by the Nireikai Foundation, which protects large forest areas by planting trees and thinning them.
Regular maintenance work is necessary here. It can lead to landslides and pollen allergy if the Nireikai Foundation does not manage thinning and other operations.
However, this takes workforce and costs.
GOLDWIN MOTORCYCLE will be supporting such forestry issues
through off-road motorbike events in the future.
A track in Mt. Nireiseni was used as one of the shooting locations for this campaign.
It is also the host venue for a free ride off-road bike event, “CROSS MISSION”
to be held in September 2022, represented by Japan’s top rider Renya Ishii,
which GOLDWIN MOTORCYCLE is also sponsoring.
Enjoy a ride through a trail for transporting thinned timber with an off-road motorcycle.
The positive tourism impact generated by these events is intended to revitalize
the local area and lead to activities to protect the mountains.
An activity that is pleasant for both the natural environment and the riders.
Protecting nature means enjoying nature.
It won’t be long before Mt. Nireiseni becomes a sacred place for contemporary off-road riders with such an attitude.
